Hey guys!
I’m back with my first official review on my blog! Today, I’ll be reviewing the StylPro makeup brush cleaner. I’ve been wanting to purchase this since the first day I found out about it. There was a post about it on Buzzfeed. Unfortunately at the time, they only shipped within the UK.
StylPro claims to clean and dry your makeup brushes within seconds with centrifugal force.
One day, I got a notification stating that they can ship limited amount of devices to America. I immediately went online to purchase one.
Check out a video I made for the product! (: I know there’s static in the background because I don’t have a noise canceling type of mic but hopefully it’s not too bad. Just working with what I have.
I paid about $75USD for this makeup brush cleaner. Which isn’t bad considering that it will save me time when it comes to cleaning all my brushes. I usually have to wait a couple of days for the brushes to completely dry. I always dread cleaning them because it’s so time consuming. I always end up purchasing more brushes so I don’t have to wash them so frequently. Haha. Who else can relate?
The device runs on 2 AAA batteries (batteries included), comes with a stand for the rubber caps, and includes a plastic fish bowl. Two sample sizes of their solution came with the purchase, which was only enough for me to wash one really saturated foundation brush and two smaller concealer brushes.

I decided to do two tests with makeup brush cleaning solutions I had at home. There were other brushes that were waiting to be washed.
Test 1: Sephora Daily Makeup Brush Cleaner
I purchased this brush cleaner last year. You’re suppose to spray this solution 3-4 times on the bristles and gently wipe on a lint-free cloth to remove the makeup. It only removed some of the makeup so I stopped using it. I decided to try using this solution with the StylPro.

- Solution smells like alcohol.
- It got some of the makeup off.
- Did not clean the brush very well.
- Brush was still really damp after spinning for about 10 seconds.
- Makeup brush looks and smells like a hot mess.
Test 2: Johnson’s Baby Shampoo
This is my go-to makeup brush cleaning solution. It’s super affordable. It’s also gentle enough to get the job done. I normally accumulate enough brushes to wash once a month using the 2X Sigma Spa® Brush Cleaning Glove, which works great! I decided to use this mild shampoo with the StylPro.

- It got some of the makeup off.
- Did not clean the brush very well.
- Brush was slightly damp after spinning for about 10 seconds.
Overall, I really like the StylPro. It cleaned and dried my brushes extremely well within seconds when using their makeup brush cleaning solution. It can definitely save me a lot of time. I could also use the brushes immediately after washing them. They currently do not ship the solution out of the UK. However, I will be searching for another makeup brush cleaning solution to test out with my StylPro. Let me know if you guys have any recommendations!
But for now, I have to go back to my 2X Sigma Spa Makeup Brush Glove while I wait for the solution to become available in the states.

Until next time!
Connie
