Let’s talk about subscription boxes. I recently got off the waitlist and subscribed to Sephora Play in which I will be reviewing next week. Subscribing to subscription boxes give me a chance to try a variety of products without causing major damage to my wallet. The cost of makeup can easily rack up fast, especially for makeup/skincare junkies like me. It is so easy to spend $100+ at Sephora within the first 10 minutes.
This week, I’ll be reviewing what I received from Ipsy. Every month, I get products from Ipsy pertaining to brands I’ve never seen before. This month, I received a lip stain from Tarte. Super excited to try it out! I used their loose finishing powder everyday to set my foundation and concealer. It’s natural and lightweight.
Subscribe to Ipsy here if you’re interested! It’s $10 a month for 4-5 beauty products. Every month comes with a cute makeup bag.
But before I got into the others products that I received, I just wanted to note how much I love the design of the bag this month. Rose gold is my favorite!
Below are the items that I received from my glam bag for March.
My March 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag includes the following items:
- Neogen Coconut Milk Pure Mild Cleanser
- Dirty Little Secret Blush (Kitty Pink)
- Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint (Rose)
- Skone Cosemetics Pro Blending Brush
- March Anthony Deep Repair Conditioning Treatment
Three products will be reviewed today, instead of my usual two.
Skone Cosmetics Luxe Pro Blending Brush
The brush has rose gold accent but for some reason the photo is coming out golden. The color is probably reflecting off of my wooden floors. Oops.
- Super soft synthetic bristle.
- Love the rose gold design!
- Perfect to blend out eyeshadows.
Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint
I’ve never tried any of their lip paints before. The shade I got is in Rose.
- Super pigmented.
- Dries really fast. No transfer.
- Matte finish.
- Definitely a “my-lip-but-better” kind of shade!
Left is without the lip stain. Right is with the lip stain.
Dirty Little Secret Blush
The shade that I received was in Kitty Pink.
- Natural coral shade.
- Super lightweight on the skin.
- Sheer finish.
- Very versatile
- Can be used on your cheeks as a blush.
- Can be used on your eyes as an eyeshadow.
- Can be used on your lips on top of lip balm as a lip tint.
The shade was so natural it was hard to pick up the pigmentation on camera. You can see a hint of pink on my arm.
You can definitely see more of it in person. The flush of pink gives a rosy glow.
Overall, I’m happy with the products that I received this month. Even though I didn’t have a chance to try the cleanser this month, I will use it very soon. I like getting them in my subscription boxes. Why? I usually take these with me whenever I travel. They’re the perfect size.
Hope you guys enjoyed my review. Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time!
