Sephora March 2017 Play Box

Hey guys!

Cookie, my oldest dog, turned 3 yesterday. She still looks like a little puppy standing next to her sister Oreo, whose only 1 years old. Dogs are seriously one of the best things in the world. Don’t you agree? They can bring joy and laughter into people’s lives without trying. My little yin and yang dogs keep me entertained on a daily. 😘

This week, I’m back with another subscription box review. I signed up for the Sephora Play waitlist about a month ago before I got a notification to join. I couldn’t wait to compare the products between Sephora and Ipsy.

Sephora Play cost $10 USD plus tax per month. Monthly cost is about the same as Ipsy, but Ipsy gives you an option to get a free month worth of products if you pay for a whole year up front. One big difference between Ipsy and Sephora is the bag that the products come in. Every month, Ipsy comes with a little zip or button makeup bag. Sephora Play comes with a draw string bag. Ipsy and Sephora both come with 5 beauty products every month; however, Sephora Play includes an additional perfume which makes 6 products!

The March Play Box is my very first box from Sephora. The theme for the month is “Glow Your Own Way.” It includes the following items:

  • GlamGlow Mega Illuminating Moisturizer
  • Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick
  • Benefits What’s Up Cream-to-Powder Highlighter
  • Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast
  • Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm
  • Chloe Fleur de Parfum

I love the high end products that this subscription box comes with. A lot of times, products I get from Ipsy are brands I’ve never heard of. I’m so glad I know every single one of these brands in my play box. Most of these items are things I’ve been wanting to try but didn’t want to splurge on the full-size products. Finally, I get the chance to try it out.

I’ll be reviewing two products today. The eye shadow stick and the highlighter. Below are the swatches.

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick

Bobby Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick

  • Shade: Golden Pink
  • Cream consistency
  • Easy to apply
  • Reminds me of my Etude House Bling Bling Play Stick

This eyeshadow stick is nice to apply all over the eyelid. You can also use it to highlight the inner corner of your eyes.

Benefit What’s Up! Cream-to- Powder Highlighter

Benefit What's Up highlighter

  • Soft shimmers
  • Cream consistency
  • Easy to apply
  • Sheer glow, but buildable

This highlighting stick is perfect to use on your cheeks and brow bone. It gives a nice dewy glow. Once applied to the skin, it hardly budges.

Both products were very shimmery which is what makes it so pretty. I’m very happy with the two products that I’ve tried this month. The sparkles in these products are just “WOW!” It’s just a bunch of goodness in a bag. I can’t wait to see what Sephora Play has in store for me in April.

Until next time!

❤️ Connie
