Where do you normally put your makeup brushes to dry after your wash them?
Everyone has their own techniques to dry their brushes. Something that I use to do awhile back was lay all my brushes on a towel with one side rolled up.
Depending on the weather and size of the makeup brushes, it may take one to three days to completely dry.
The purpose of rolling up one side of the towel is to prevent the water (from the wet brushes) from going into the barrel while drying. When water goes into the barrel, it causes the bristles to loosen and eventually fall off. It weakens the glue which isn’t good for your brushes or your wallet. You’ll have to buy replacements frequently when the bristles fall apart.
I honestly don’t mind the towel technique but I came across this makeup brush drying rack that came in handy. It takes up less space on my counter top and dries more brushes.
I purchased two styles from Amazon for about $11.99 USD each. They have a variety of makeup brush drying racks. Racks that range from only small brushes, only foundation brushes or a mix of both. You can definitely find a rack that most suitable for your brush collection.
The foundation rack can hold up to 14 brushes. The assorted rack can hold up to 26 brushes. It’s really handy to have and does not take up a lot of space.
The plastic used for the insert to hold your brushes is very easy to use. You simply just poke the handle of the brush through each of the slots.
After you’re done using the rack, it’s collapsible for easy storage.
If you would like to dry your brushes within seconds, check out my review on the StylPro! They don’t offer the StylPro solution in America so I stopped using it to clean my brushes. I haven’t found a solution that works well with the makeup brush cleaner. However, I use the device to dry my makeup brushes when I need to use them immediately after washing.
Keep in mind that taking good care of your brushes will extend the life of your brushes. 😊
Thanks for stopping by. Take care. Until next time!
