Happy first day of November!
For the month of October, the play box has a complexion companion theme.
I love how the products included this month can be used in sequence with one another to help your makeup last all day long.
My play box included the following six items.
- Becca First Light Filter Face Primer
- Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation
- Laura Mercier Translucent Powder
- Cover FX Drop & Glow Enhancer Drops
- Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Skin Booster
- The Gift of Gabrielle Chanel Parfum
I personally own the full-size of the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder so I’m not going to go into too much detail about it. It’s a nice light powder that’s great for setting makeup so it doesn’t slip and slide throughout the day.
I will be reviewing the enhancer drops and foundation today. Two items I’ve never tried before.
Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops
I got the shade Moonlight.
This drop is super pigmented! The instruction says to add 1-3 drops to your beauty products. I personally think one drop is more than enough product to add glow to different areas of your face.
The product has a nice pearlescent pigment. Super pretty! A little goes a long way. The droplet packaging allows you to control the amount of glow you would like in your products, which is nice.
I wouldn’t mind using the drops by itself to highlight my cheekbone or brow bone. Just make sure you blend out the product on the back of your hand before applying it with a brush. The product makes your skin glisten so nicely. 😍
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation
The shade that I received is in R230.
The shade is a little too light for my skin tone. I’m still trying to get my natural skin tone back from my summer tan. 😳
The foundation is medium to full coverage with a satin finish. It feels really lightweight on the skin after blending it out with a foundation brush.
This is a good foundation to use for photos because it gives a natural smooth finish. I wasn’t able to try out the foundation on my face. Hopefully, I can try it out when my skin tone gets lighter during the winter.
I decided to mix the enhancer drops with the foundation. One drop of Cover FX made such a big difference to the foundation! The two products pair really nicely.
As you can see the foundation on the top of my hand without the Cover FX looks a little flat. There’s no dimension but it still has a nice natural smooth finish. With the Cover FX drops, it changed the appearance of the foundation.
The drops made my skin scream “Glow Baby Glow!” So pretty! The drops are definitely worth trying out if you want to feel a little extra radiant for the day. 😊
I’m really happy with the products I got to play with in this month’s subscription box.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time!
P.S. Check out what I got for the month of September! If any of you guys are interested in signing up for the subscription, more details can be found here. It’s only $10 USD a month and you get 6 luxury products to play with.
