Hey guys!
Happy Wednesday! It’s been super chilly in the Bay Area this week, freezing temperatures. I have to warm up my car in the morning because of the ice on the windows. Brrrr… I hope you guys stay warm!
For the month of January, Ipsy included a makeup bag that is more on the sporty side. It has a meshy material. I think it is suppose to motivate those who have New Year resolutions to go to the gym. 😛
My January 2018 Ipsy Glam Bag includes the following items:
- Real Chemistry Fresh-Start Foaming Cleanser
- NYX Professional Makeup Lip Lingerie
- F.A.R.A.H Brushes Dual Ended Tweezer
- Lue by Jean Seo Balance Hydrating and Calming Serum
- City Color Cosmetics Contour Palette
Today’s review will be on the tweezer and the contour palette.
F.AR.A.H Brushes Z-Tweeze Dual Ended Tweezer
A tweezer is a necessity in everyone’s makeup bag.
The tweezer is made of stainless steel which is resistant to bacteria.
What I like about this tweezer is that it’s dual ended.
One side has a slanted tip that’s good for plucking hairs or applying falsies. For hair plucking purposes, I would use it to plug my eyebrows. The other side is pointed which is good for plucking hairs as well, but I would mostly use it if I have ingrown hairs.
Be sure to exfoliate the areas where hair was plucked in order to minimize the chance of getting ingrown hairs.
City Color Cosmetics Contour Palette
One palette that serves as a bronzer and highlighter. It’s versatile for all skin tones because of the two brown shades in the palette.
I’m not a fan of the highlighter in this palette. The pigmentation is a little too white for my liking. It doesn’t have the glistening effect that I would expect from most highlighters. I prefer to use my Vincent Longo Highlighter. That highlighter makes your skin look stunning. However, the brown shades in this contour palette are nice though!
The powder is extremely fine. The swatches are really smooth and light on the skin. A little goes a long way with this palette.
One of the brown shades are too dark for my skin tone but it blends out well. It’s a good shade to use as a contour. The middle brown shade is good to use a natural bronzer.
I really enjoyed trying out these new goodies from Ipsy. If you’re a makeup junkie like me who loves makeup but doesn’t like to splurge, give Ipsy a try for only $10 USD a month.
Thanks for stopping by!
❤ Connie
P.S. Have you seen what I got in my glam bag for last month?
